Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.
Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of
throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned. #forgive &forget In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. -Eph 4:26
As the beating of cream yields butter & striking the nose causes bleeding, so stirring up anger causes quarrels. -Proverbs 30:33 If a small thing has the power to make you angry, does that not indicate something about your size? When anger rises, think of the consequences.
When angry count to ten before you speak. If very angry, count to one hundred. Never do anything when you are in a temper, for you will do everything wrong. Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host. But anger is like fire. It burns it all clean.
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, (James1:19NIV).
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.(Proverbs16:32KJV)

1Cor13:5(NIV) it says that LOVE : "It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs."
LOVE IS THE ANSWER!!
